Dvd Subtitle Problems? HELP!?

so i put a dvd in my mac and it has subtitles when i don't want it to! i've tried restarting my computer, going to the languages section on it and clicking "no subtitles", ejected the dvd and put it in again!!!!!!! HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!! what should i do??? oh if it matters i have Mac OS X (version 10.5.8) HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
and the subtitles are not embedded it! cause it only does that when i put it into my mac. if i play the dvd on my tv then its perfectly normal.
