E drive disappeared!?

I added E drive to my computer to give me more memory because i was running out. I used to go to it by double clicking on it in my computer. Not long ago i went into my computer to try and go into it again and it just wan't there. The E drive icon wasn't there. I have tried restarting my computer and disconnecting and reconnecting the computer plug, but the icon still isn't there.
Please help.

is the E drive an external or internal hard drive?
if its internal open up the computer case and make sure all the cables are not loose or improperly plugged. if its an external one just unplug and plug it back into your computer
 
First, make sure it is plugged in properly.

If it still isn't showing up, it could be a problem with the drive, the cable, or the port you have it plugged into. USB ports can get a little screwy at times, so try plugging it into several different ports before your do anything else. You can also try connecting it with a different cable. There is also the possibility that your E drive may have completely malfunctioned. If you still can't figure anything out, try contacting someone who is good with computers and have them take a look at it. It's likely there's something else wrong with it that you didn't notice or forgot to mention in your question.
