The Pontiac Solstice/Saturn Sky are much more powerful and faster than the Toyota MR2. But they are RWD. For Summer only. Can't drive RWD in snow and it would be slippery in rain.
The Toyota would be better on gas and more practical with FWD, but not enough power to keep up with the Solstice or Sky.
