eating healthy/ exercise?

I have decided to eat healthier and begin some exercise.
I doubt I'm going about this the right way, but...
Ive started drinking a smoothie a day instead of soda or juices..(the smoothies have 2% milk, strawberries bananas and low fat yogurt)


I walk more, and have bought fruit and veggies to snack on instead of chips or cookies.
I'm looking to get a gym membership in the near future.


So, any other tips on how to start eating more healthy? And easy home exercises?

I'm 5'8" and about 175-180lbs. Although I dont look like I weigh that much at all, I'd like to feel better about my weight and get in better shape.
Also, should I take a daily multi-vitamin? Or go to GNC and buy anything?
Any help without rudeness will be much appreciated.
