economic impacts on cruise industry?

positive or negative impacts would be greatly appreciated.
 
If the economic climate is poor, people have less discretionary income and may not spend it on a cruise.
 
Or people might choose cruise more because a cruise is cheaper than a resort (or at least shorter smaller ship cruises are). I can go for 5 days for about $500 or $600. I cannot go to a resort on an island for that cheap EVER. So maybe it is little to no impact. Sorry but I cannot say for sure. This economy has me freaked up. Economy went down but yet people want more money for junker used cars, would rather see house burn than sell it for a few grand less. People are saying they need money, but they aren't showing that they need money.
