Economic situation to effect celebrities?

Does anyone think that this economic situation will affect celebrities. Here we are, being frugal with our incomes. I know I can't afford to see movies or go to sporting events and things of that nature. Is it possible that it will trickle down to the celebrities or do they seem "exempt" from this recession?
I hear what everyone is saying and for the short term, no I don't think it will effect them but if this "recession" lasts a year or so, do you think it is going to effect them?
 
I think a lot of rich people will manage to escape the economic crisis relatively unscathed. I think it depends how rich the celebrities are to start with. Some minor ones may suffer, but top 'box office' stars will be ok, i doubt they'd even get a pay cut.
 
I think it does effect them,nobody is exempt. They invest in the stock market just like we do,they have mortgages on their homes that went bad (Ed McMahon h from Johnny Carson tonight show fame he almost lost his home) . Everyone including celebrities are effected. The Studios & Promoters will probably raise ticket prices even more.PPV on Cable & Dish has already raises prices
 
Yes, definitely. They're not all gazillionaires.
Look how TV is changing. Jay Leno on at 10 p.m. every night and more reality shows means fewer jobs for actors.
If we can't afford to spend as much on entertainment, that's less income for them.
