When I first subscribed to the Netflix service, I noticed that they had a selection of all Eddie Cantor's early 1930's movies. I put off renting them due to a few other classic TV shows I wanted to see first. A few months ago I noticed that all his early movies have disappeared, leaving next to nothing.
I am curious if anyone knows why this has happened? Netflix or Google has no information on this.
Could it of been that Eddie Cantor sang atleast one song in blackface during most of his movies? I'd think that isn't un-PC enough to warrant removing them...
Thanks for any answers! :]
