My family adopted a kitten after our cat was stolen. She's such a sweet girl but she loves to scratch wood. My dad isn't a fan of cats but he knew that we were devastated over the loss of our first cat. So, a few days ago he caught our kitten, Sabrina scratching at the table leg. He said if he caught her doing it again we were going to have to get rid of her. As I said he's not a fan of cats to begin with. She has multiple scratching posts and cardboard scratchers but she ignores them despite my many attempts. My mom wants to get Sabrina de-clawed and she asked our vet about it. The vet said "I de-claw all my cats and they are perfectly fine". The cat is basically mine because I buy everything for her and I do not want her de-clawed. I searched online for a solution and came across Soft Claws. I watched a few videos of people applying them to their kittens/cats before buying them and it looked simple enough. My vet will put them on but she is going to charge a lot and I'd really rather do it myself. So, my boyfriend and I tried to put some of them on. We managed to get on 5 of them and in a matter of 10 minutes after trying to give her a break only 2 are left on. Does anyone have an effective way that they use to apply these things? I'm having such a hard time.
