my 1995 gmc jimmy is misfiring carbonating up acts like it only is running on 5 cylinders the fuel injectors are new anyone have an idea

In February, 1999 GMC issued a special policy (not to be confused with a recall on the '95 Jimmy with the Linear Exhaust Gas Recirculation System on trucks equipped with 4.3L engine. The vehicle symptoms were engine knock, stall, surge, rough idle, and hard starting. The special policy expired in Feb '06 or when the vehicle reaches 75,000 miles, so you're out of luck with the policy coverage. When you took the vehicle in, the dealer would replace the linear EGR valve and the linear EGR valve gasket. So it sounds like you were right on the ball. It shouldn't be too hard of a repair. Hope this helped!~
