Hi. I know NOTHING about cars, but some punk knocked the mirror of of my passenger side of my car. It's old, and so normally I wouldln't care, but I'm driving around in Canada with US plates, and a cracked windshield, so I want to minimize the obvious damage. Will I be able to put it back on? Do I need to order a new (used) one? Is this something beyond my capabilities? ( I have no clue )

Any suggestions greatly appreciated :-)
Yes. The mirror is completely off. I am not particularly concerned about aesthetic details. I am concerned about cost.

depends if its broken off or just hanging there most of the time when something like that every thing is wrong with it like wiring mounting points and paint. so either you get a junk yard one and try to fix the damage or take it to a shop to fix it

go to an auto salvage yard and get another mirror. See if they will install it for you, if not try a local shop. it isn't a big deal changing one.
