Are they any good? Have you used one?
I mean, the basic principal is there, force more air into the motor, but is obviously not going to be as powerful as something belt driven off the motor.
I guess my main concern is that its not variable. Its either on flat out or off. Is it possible to attach it to a throttle position sensor, or something so that the speed is changed according to engine revs?
I was looking at a few and they claim boost readings of 3-5Lbs, which could make a bit of a difference, I guess, if it were true.
Can they successfully be used on a carb fed motor? would the mixtures need to be changed?
Can they be used in conjunction with a snorkel, on a 4WD?
I'm only considering this as I can pick one up reasonably cheaply, so it might be worth throwing on and trying.
What have your experiences been?
