i was baptized catholic and my entire family is super irish and super catholic... my mom the family rebel, chose not to expose me to the church, and my parents didnt talk about religion at all to me. i dont know anything really.. although i am very interested in learning...
i have a child of my own now, and want to baptize him..
people ask me if i will make him catholic, or christian..
the idea of the catholic structure brings me comfort.. but the openess of christian church is also appealing.
is there middle ground?
can some one please tell me the differences between them, everything i find on google is too in depth for me, and i dont understand it at all..
please help.. im so embarassed about this and mildly upset at my parents for not exposing me
ok ace, i get the general gist of that, but if they are one in the same why are there so many differences, simply in the wearing of the cross.. i have seen christians wear one, but i have also heard christians say " that is a catholic thing"
go away dreamystuff..
.. do you have any idea what my family would say to me if i told them i was even thinking about baptizing my son protestant? GAH!!!
i mean alot of my friends are christian, and go to this up beat warehouse style church, who sing pop-y songs and stuff..
but when i attend St. Patricks Catholic with my family... it is dreary and stiff.. ( i like it)
