i was freinds with a employee at work. he knew of my sexuallity from day one of our friendship. our friendship grew outside of work and my sexuality was not an issue for a year and half. then, he gets a new job assignment working closely with another employee. this is when the trouble begins, suddenly he begins to be evasive. when questioned, he was tired of my homo ass.he said this in front of the other employee. fine i left it at that. however, he claimed sexual harrasment to our manager. who reiterates company policy and i sign it.

then my hours begin to be cut i discover to keep me apart from the friend. I discover, through confrontation with our manager, that the other employee that the friend works with also complained and involved. i rarely talk to the guy nor were we friends.

i think my friend confide in him regarding my sexuality and discovered how homophobic the other employee was and thus my freind didnt want and associated with a homo. i claiming conspiracy?

Well, it is an unfortunate situation. I was treated with disdain as well when a co-worker I confided in shared with others that I am an atheist. People stopped talking to me and called me a devil worshiper - horrible, unbelievable behavior seeing that they were adults - some people just can't handle minority lifestyle.

The fault lies on myself though, and as well as you. YOU SHOULDN'T DISCUSS SUCH THINGS AT WORK - NO MATTER HOW COMFORTABLE YOU FEEL WITH A COWORKER.

There are old rules: don't talk about religion, politics, or sexuality in public.
