Why is it that so many people don't want to grasp the fact that we as consumers can make a big difference when it comes to the cost of energy? In my neighborhood people have lights on all over the house, they leave outside lighting on during the day, which I don't really understand why people have to have big bright outside lighting that shines on their neighbors houses anyway, but yet they complain about their bill being so high. A lot of these people are older folks and couples with no children, but yet they run lights all the time. How do we make people understand that we as consumers have more control than we think and that we need to stop being so wasteful and taking these kinds of things for granted?
