my question to you English Majors, do you think the graphic novel is on the verge of being considered real literature (I do)---I mean hell, we all know that in Shakespeare's time the play was considered the same way we view TV, and until the 18th-19th century novels were considered low brow...
Literature is whatever captures the essences of humanity with words if you ask me, and I guess the argument becomes, well graphic novels include pictures, not sure words---but in reality, plays can influence a lot of what is written by stage direction---I think that graphic novels just choose to stoyboard the dialogue
