Ericsson W890i or Nokia 6300?

Hi all

I am getting one of these deals where you get the free gift ie. laptop, but are having trouble deciding between these 2 phones.

Don't particularly fancy either too much, but these are the cheapest options. Personally I am a Ericsson fan, and would normally just go for any ericsson rather than anything else, but this ericsson doesn't look as nice - therefor the confusion between the two. Also, I have seen some bad reviews about this one.

Would like to hear from someone who's had/played with both to give a fair comparison between the two.

I am a Nokia fan though not a SE one.
But ironically, I would go for the SE W890i.

Basically, the W890i and the 6300 does not have really that much of a difference in terms of hardware. The W890i is more inclined with Music, Videos, Style and all things entertainment, the 6300 however is not that inclined to music (more on pictures and calling). The W890i, as with most sony erricson cellphones, handle 3D JAVA games pretty well, also you can change resolutions of Java Games so you can have a better view of the game. The 6300, however, is only good with 2D Java Games.

Conclusion: If you want a phone for music, then get the W890i, but if you want a regular, call and text phone that is worth every penny, get the 6300.

I'd go for the Ericsson! I have had so many of these phones, and they are so much easier to use than a Nokia, which i have had many of as well!!
I've actually got the Ericsson W890i and really like it, although it doesn't look as nice! I have also tried the Nokia 6300 - my friend has it - and, erm, i just didn't like it as much.

If your still unsure, try going into a phone shop (i like carphone warehouse, it has great service) and ask if you can trial both of them!
