All sorts of theories can be assosiated with it and I want to know yours.
Here's the bit:
This happened the first time when I was 12. I woke suddenly and saw a white form of a man float overhead while I was awake and muttered, 'What the f***' My grandparents ran in and I thought they had heard me cuss, but it turns out I had screamed quite loudly. I couldnt recall dreaming or screaming. It didnt happen again for a long time, not until recently. I am with my boyfriend at our apartment (behind us is a graveyard b the by and the house it happened at before was rumored by neighbors to be haunted, we were renting after a fire)
So I have actually been woken up by Kevin in the night with him telling me I was screaming. But I cant remember any dreams or shouting. Which is very odd because besides these times, I always remember my dreams.
What do you think this could be. It is getting a tad more frequent now.
It cant be night tremors. I dont shake or jerk. Just scream.
I read a symptoms list for night terrors and all that fits is the screaming. I am not paniced or disoriented at all. I am mostly calm, a little surprised that I was woken up and cant remember screaming. I respond right away to the people waking me up...I dunno..

for a person with the name gremlin i would think youd be a little more open minded i dont think the dreams are ghost related but if you have been seeing figures your probably seeingghosts in one form or another more than likely your bad dreams are stress related

They actually had a special on TV about the same exact thing not too long ago. They are probably night terrors. I can't remember which show it was on, but I do remember one girl having violent outbursts in the night, waking up and not remembering a thing. It happened to her several times a month, but never on a daily basis. I would search Google or some other website about night terrors and research as much as you can. Maybe even ask your doctor next time you happen to be there.

You need to learn to dream lucidly. This you can practice during normal dreams so that when something like you've described happens, you are able to control the dream and change it.

In lucid dream you become aware of the dream, but rather than waking, you take control and move through the dream as you want. If you are frightened, you can change the object to a duck or whatever makes you laugh.

It's likely that you are more sensitive than others, but you can control what you allow into your dreamspace.

Good luck!
