Failed 2 math courses in undergrad and am interested in Medical & dental school....

...Now what? Highest grade freshman year: B+ I failed Cal 1 and Business Cal freshman year due to being diagnosed with (what I percieved to be) a serious illness. Mostly C's and such though in advanced English courses. Sophomore year, and I am taking General Biology and have received / will receive a B and A- for both Semesters . I retook the math classes and received / will recieve a B in Bus. Cal and likely an A- in Cal1. I am also taking upper level math courses (up to Linear Algebra and Differential Equations) for my degree in Economics (Economics pre med / pre dental focus). I wanted to know however if I should even continue studying for Bio. If I receive all A's and A-'s in my other Science / Med school prereq's (wishful thinking much?) my science GPA with the failed classes will likely be below a 3.46. Biology is EXTREMELY time consuming and if it is unlikely that I have any chance of getting noticed with F's in math courses, I could instead focus all of my attention on Economics. I am involved in some extracurriculars and will be restarting a volunteer program for undergrads regardless of whether I continue with the pre med track. But seriously, I would like to know if I should just accept the inevitable that I will not get into a respectable medical or dental school (preferrably in the US). And by respectable, I mean accredited with good placement into residency programs . . . so basically anywhere. Oh, GPA so far is >3.3 for both semesters Sophomore year. Thanks and please, do not pull punches.
