Fantasy/sci-fi recommendations?

I have the 'A Song of Ice and Fire' series already and I have almost all of Tolkien's books. :/ I need something new. I was planning on reading Harry Potter at some point, but I want to get some more recommendations.

Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card and its sequels are excellent science fiction books.

For fantasy, I recommend The Bartimaeus Trilogy by Jonathon Stroud.

A good science fiction/fantasy cross is Paragaea by Chris Roberson.

Harry potter is a great choice, read them definitely! And for sci-fi, read hunger games by Suzanne Collins or Uglies by Scott Westerfeld.
