I'm barely 5'2'', and always really self-conscious about my height. Plus, it feels like certain things that look great on other people will never look okay on me because I'm shorter. I have trouble choosing clothes period and I always think my height makes it even tougher.

I feel like girls who are short might understand/sympathize with me? Might sound strange to others, Haha.

I know heels heels heels, but for everyday like going to class and walking around campus, those don't exactly work.

Any advice or comments appreciated. Thanks!

Avoid things like capris and boots or shoes with a strap around the ankle as they cut off the line of the leg making you look shorter. Anything boxy (or even just too wide) will make your body look squat. Vertical lines will help and horizontal lines will hurt.
Most importantly you have to look proportional. avoid high and drop waist items, instead accentuate your natural waist.

I'm short too! I found out what works best for me (aside the obvious, 4" heels) is wearing shorter cropped tops and jackets. It makes my body look longer. Another trick is to wear one color (like almost all white clothing, etc.). Less clingy clothes also give a taller, leaner look. And the last trick is to tuck in your shirts (there are a lot of cute outfits out there using a tucked in shirt look!) :)

And remember, we're not short...we're fun-sized :p

Wear a thinner cut jean, like strait or skinny, and a higher waistline, and a dark wash. your legs will appear long and thin. tops should be shorter to add more length to your legs. skirts and dresses should be around mid thigh, not too short. you can look up a lot of tips on google.
