There is also rumours that Cheney still retains about 443,000 stock in Halliburton. I don't how much truth can be credited to these rumours and I wouldn't be surprised to find out if its true. Not like the government has never kept anything "under the table", anyway.

When Bush and Cheney were running in 2000, CHeney owning Haliburton stocks was a media scandal. So to stop the media attention, Cheney sold them.

Than the price of Haliburton's stock fell shaprly shortly thereafter. Another media fed scandal erupted that Cheney had insider knowledge. The media totally forgot to mention Cheney sold them to relieve the first media scandal and now he had a second.

I believe NOTHING the media says, not even the date. I am working on its August 13, 1987.
