No, my grandfather was in this situation 3 weeks ago, hes been living with Alzheimer's for 3 years but finally got terminally ILL 1 month ago buy throwing up inside of his lungs. Which further led to an infection which caused his lungs to start getting eaten away. He had a living will to not be kept alive with machines, if he would have stayed on them he could have been alive for a good year or 2. But after he finally past away my family is A-lot more re leaved and thought of it as a blessing.
