Fiat bravo cam belt Query?

I run a Fiat Bravo 100 !.6 petrol 1999, if the cam belt snaps on this model will their be any valve damage? Or to put it another way is it a safe engine?

yes engine is safe if cam belt snaps
replace cam belt and everything will be fine
