I have a fiat punto 1.2 2000 reg which after 8 months of owning took on the motor way, for the first time, over the weekend. After about an hour and a half of driving almost completely straight the power steering warning light came on, I was just about to exit the motor way, worried! I was approaching a round about wondering if the steering would work! It was fine! I have had no problems with the steering what so ever, apart from the annoying light, which did exactly the same thing on my way return journey, showing after a long period of driving straight. Do you think I have a problem here? I feel it could be that because the steering is not being used much, due to driving straight, it thinks there is a fault, I have no clue about cars though! I also can't really afford to take my car to a fiat dealer as I am scared of them telling me its not road worthy, I have been scaring myself reading forums!!!! ANY advise will be gratefully received
