My steering felt different for a couple of days, it was still easy to steer etc but I could feel it jumping very slightly inside as I was driving. It stopped and came back a bit. Tonight I was pulling onto my drive (full right lock) and the steering warning light came on and power steering wasn't working. I turned my engine off and back on and everything was fine...
Also, the fuel injection warning system light has been on for a while but I've been told that It's only there as an excuse for Fiat to earn money.. I was wondering if the steering could be linked to this problem as I think it's an electrical fault?
Going to take to a garage tomorrow for a diagnostic check but I want to check the fuses myself first to see if anything is unplugged (not that I have any idea how to do it..).
Was just wondering if anyone knows what the problem could be and how much it would cost to repair?
oops i meant injection system warning light!

You have electric power steering so you dont have power steering fluid. A common problem with Puntos is the electric motor that drives the steering. Check all connections. Get the diagnostic check as this will bring up the fault codes and the garage will know what the problem is with the car.

u have to change the brake fluids and all that stuff or the axle that connects the two wheels to the chassis and engine might be corroded and the connector that connects the wheel to the axle which is usually a hardened steel ring might've expanded and now the wheel wobbles trying to be straight so check your undercarriage of your car

Power steering failure - not unheard of. Check the power steering fluid under the hood - if its not topped up you'll probably need a new pump.

In regards to the injectors - have you run redex through the system - clean it out, breathe new life into them

Fiats have the worst electrical systems, i know first hand, we had a million problems when the air conditioning compressor rubbed against the reverse light cable till it broke and shorted - took the AA man about 3 minutes to find the problem - about 2 hours to fix it. repair costs vary from place to place, take it to a local garage rather than a fiat garage, you might get an honest opinion - you never know.
