About 2 months ago i managed to lose my one and only key for my punto 2003. i had a locksmith come down and try to code a new key to the car but he had no success. However he did find that some arsehole who owned the car before me had stuck a key with a chip in it to the antenna ring round the ignition barrel for some reason =S
I rang fiat and they quoted well over 5tonne to fix it, by changing all the locks and immobiliser. After asking them what drugs they were on i put the phone down haha.
I have had a unchipped key cut but it doesnt start the car even when the key with the chip is stuck on the antenna like it was originally which doesnt make sense as that how it worked before i lost the keys.
any help at all on this would be very much appreciated, thnakyou.
