first time buying laptop computer?

this is the first time my dad bought a laptop computer for me and my sister lol we have to share it but she gets to take it to school for taking notes because she types faster then writing it on paper. i was wondering when we buy the laptop does it come with a charger or do i have to buy it separately.

All laptops come with Ac Adapters (charger).

It will come with a charger. A laptop is pretty useless without a charger... Depending on the laptop, you will only get about 2 1/2 hours of use from the battery before it needs to be recharged. (The newer EEE Pc's can get 7 to 9 hours, but they are the exception...) There are larger capacity batteries avilable for more laptops that will get longer run times, but it will increase the size and weight of the laptop.
