Fitness center - shower room [clingy anyone]?

I go to a fitness center, i call it this instead of a gym since they have everything and is more like a resort then a typical gym, anyways I find very funny yet I find it annoying at the same time.

most guys in the shower room, take a shower do whatever they need to and so on.. you have some guys that will wear board shorts into the shower, and will finish the shower with them still on, then when they finally take them off, they will wrap a towel around them and slip off the board shorts and put on boxers,pants while doing the whole towel method.

typically you find younger guys, high school-can be around 5 of them and ALL of them will wear board shorts and leave the shower with them on and you actually see some guys that are 30-40's doing the same thing, I am thinking WOW, that is so clingy for a guy to do, I wonder how those guys are with females, seriously "40 year old virgin" comes to mind, I am sure the movie alone makes these insecure guys feel even more insecure. the HS thing might be something they will grow out of, cause it is so weird and just plain out clingy behavior.

so anybody like this, actually do what I said above, not showering naked and you can always tell, there insecurities show so strongly.

Well your observations are correct. But it is because they don't want some old dude looking at their penis, kind of a gay thing and being insecure about their manhood.

That age boy also uses a stall to pee, or tries to climb into the urinal when he is using it so nobody can check their junk.

When they banned communal showers in schools it started this behavior.

What will they do when they get in the military? Oh NO.....he saw my penis :-(

When I go to the pool I go the stall shower to shower naked.... everyone else just goes outside and showers in their suits and really old people do it naked. They are not washing their private parts well enough I guess though.

yeah i don't get it either....when i go to my "fitness" center...i always shower naked..after all...all parts of my body is sweaty and needs to be washed but i've seen so many guys, like u say, wearing board shorts or showering in their boxers....i just shake my head and go..."homophobe's" lol The younger guys always seem to do that while us guys in our early 20's or 30's shower naked, the way ur suppose to do. Times are changing i guess but come on guys...IT'S A FRIGGIN SHOWER!!! lol
