This is a great offer if only it was just what it says:
Special Offer: Extend your Virgin Mobile service for 1 year!
Top-Up $60 within any 3-day period and we'll extend your service for an entire year! That's $30 OFF the normal price of a year's worth of service! This is a limited time offer and expires in 30 days. Don't pass it up!
If you call Virgin Mobile and tell them you want to get this offer they will bascally say that all that it means is that if you run out of minutes or your account balance reaches zero ,etc then they will hold your phone number for an entire year instead of reassigning it to a new customer ,therefore you can top up and add minutes within that year and you'll still be able to keep your phone number. IT DOES NOT MEAN WHAT IT SAYS ABOVE, (and is false advertising in my opinion) that you can basically buy a minute pack without having to worry about buying another at the end of the normal 30 days cause this so called "Service Preserver" ( that they call it) will cover you for a year as long as you still have minutes remaining.
I wonder just how many virgin mobile customers are getting tricked into this very misleading ad? I know I did and I'm ticked about it! It clearly says "A YEAR'S WORTH OF SERVICE" not a years worth of "We'll save your phone number even though your phone won't work"!
Something needs to be done about this ad cause it's not what it says it is!
