Here's the deal flat out. I love karate and I love going to tournaments. There is just sometimes were i feel like I can't go or I'm just super tired. Let's take last week for example. I was throwing up but my dad made me fight. Or i was going thru a growth spirt and i was in a lot of pain. What amkes you put your kids in to this?
Don't get me wrong I love karate and stuff it's just some I'm always competing I usually have 3-5 tournaments a month and i train 5-6 days out of the week. It's just sometimes they push me to far.

You need to ask your parents that. I never made my kids do tournaments. I had one son and one daughter who loved tournaments and another son who did not. All three of them are great martial artists. The ones who loved tournaments always had a choice to compete or not to, no reason needed. If they wanted to compete they had to practice otherwise they were not allowed to go.
I do not understand parents who make their kids compete. As stated above competition does not determine how good of a martial artist you are.

It's you're parents job to make you stick with something. You'll thank them one day. When parents don't make their kids stick it out, their kids form a bad habit of quitting things when they get hard. Thats why parents do that.
