I have an old 1995 Ford Mustang 3.8liter V6 which has a stock Ford AODE 4spd automatic transmission. Recently I have had transmission problems (slipping into neutral and jerking into gear again) I found that this is a common problem with these AODE transmissions which is due to the MLPS or manual lever position switch. I found where to buy one online, and I have pretty good knowledge of working on cars, though I haven't done much with transmissions. I have been looking online to try to find a diagram which will show me the exact position of the MLPS before actually getting into it. If anyone could help me identify where this sensor is located (a schematic or diagram for an AODE transmission) it will be much appreciated.
