FORD FOCUS vs. HYUNDAI ELANTRA?

Im buying my first car soon.. Just wondering which would be better on gas.. a 2001 Ford Focus LX or a 2003 Hyundai Elantra GLS.

Get the Focus, it gets about 30mpg highway, 22 city and is more reliable than the elantra. (Also looks better.)
