I have a 2003 Ford Mustang Premium 3.8L V6 with an FD3S turbocharger. In order to increase my boost to 11psi, I need to increase the fuel delivery by changing the injectors, but I'm having a difficult time locating a suitable upgrade. The only vehicle I have found that shares the same fuel injectors is the Ford Windstar. The 4.2L V6 in the F150 shares the same Essex engine block as the Mustang and Windstar, but with a different crankshaft. Also, the fuel injectors in the F150 have a different part number than the other two. My guess is they have a higher delivery rate to compensate for the displacement difference, but I have been wrong before...
What is the fuel delivery rate of the stock fuel injectors in the 99-04 Ford Mustang Essex V6? and the 4.2L F150? Are they interchangeable, or is there an aftermarket performance company that makes fuel injectors with a higher fuel delivery rate? (V8 injectors do not fit, I've already compared)
