I've recently installed a remote central locking kit into my 2003 Ford Ka collection which can connect to release the boot. Now the boot has always and still does work with the key but inside the car i have a boot release button which in my ownership has never worked. The button has been checked and works and the connections to the boot are fine. It seems the problem lies in the motor that should release the boot, whilst a bit of WD40 seemed to have loosened it up so it worked a couple times it then just dies again.
I've been searching around on spare part websites and ebay etc. but i can't find where to buy a replacement unless i go to my local ford dealer and pay over the top for it.
So can anyone suggest a website or a company i could contact to get a new or 2nd hand one?
