Forgot my registration papers and need to get a permit for my car?

Hey I forgot all my papers for my car in my dad's car when he gave me a ride after dropping the car off to get some rust fixed. He's gone for the weekend and I can't find the papers anywhere so im 99% sure i left them in his car so now i need to improvise. What info can i give for icbc to give a one day permit without the papers. I can give the info about the car and vin number and whatever so basically just the stuff on the transfer form and its already registered under my name. could i get a permit with just that stuff and my licence to prove i am the same person that owns the car or do i really need the regi papers no matter what?
