My friend was driving a 96 F150 (300 straight 6,5 speed stick/ with cruise control) at 55M.P.H with the cruise control on. She paniced when a deer ran in front of her, and pushed in the clutch. The engine reved towards redline, and shut down. The engine didn't didn't slip out of time. The engine cranks over smoothly, but won't start. What shut the engine down, and how do I fix it?
