I am a filmmaker and I need to make a few DVDs of my film. I've exported raw ("Self-contained" Quicktime), and now I need to make the DVD. I have access to iDVD, Toast Pro, and DVD Pro, perhaps some others as well. Basically, I would like to know how to make the highest quality dvd possible. Everything from what type of blank DVDs to buy to which boxes to check/uncheck in the options menu.
I have already created DVDs from iDVD and Toast, and it just seems like the end quality of the movie is too low. I try to set it to the highest quality I can via the options, but It still comes out flat color/depth wise. Nothing screwed up though, no lines or blurs or pixelations. Just isn't anywhere near as nice as the original QT.
