It seems that no matter where you go to church now you end up being frustrated.I love learning about GOD and the bible, and thought I had finally found a wonderful church home-whenever we needed help the members were there for us,we had in home studies, looked forward to attending. Then when my husband and I declined being involved in church activities(we have been going through huge amounts of stress and could not keep up with the meetings, schedules, added responsibilities)we have noticed a huge decrease in communication from church-in fact we have missed the past two Sundays because of feeling un comfortable, and no one has called,e mailed etc. This is not how it used to be.I feel sad,my husband and I had no problem helping at church,as long as it was behind the scenes work-we are both quiet private people and have explained this over and over to elders, pastor. We cleaned at church,my husband offered to mow the lawn-so it is not that we do not want to help-we just want to help in our own way.I feel as if they look down on us because we are not there every time the doors are open. Why can't people just let you go to church and worship??Why do you have to sign up for activities and committees?I have no interest in these things-nor do I have the time. Most of the elders are retired, they have time-we are fairly young with three kids.Is anyone else feeling this way?I am tempted on staying home Sunday morning and worshiping on my own.:(( Thanks and GOD bless

There is no excuse for not worshiping god. He created your whole existence, and you can't even find time for him on Sunday? God is the most important thing, ever. He's five billion times more important than your kids, husband, and stress you face. Praise the bible! Praise his name!

(Sarcasm mode: Off)

There's probably no god, so stop worrying, and enjoy your life! :D

Im going to a huge church so nobody ever questions us...maybe you need a bigger one...Mine is 3000 members. I dont mind small churches but I hear you. We dont police ppl where I go at all...i like it..

I recently switched from a smallish 300 person congregation to a local mega-church and my wife and I who where highly involved have found ourselves very involved in our way. Never over-comitted, some small churches wear people out trying to do to much in mediocre fashion than a little well.

Just my opinion.

Try studying with Jehovah's Witnesses, you'll like the warm atmosphere and friendly brothers and sisters and the feeling of belonging to a world wide brotherhood where you are welcome no matter where you go.
