I have an HP Pavilion and the DVD/CD drive quit working. My friend said I could have his old one, but when I got it, its a full size, like from a desktop and I have a laptop. My laptop doesn't ever go anywhere, so is it possible to hook up the full size one to my laptop? If so, could you please help me by giving me specific instructions. Thanks!
P.S. It would be even better if you could tell me how to fix the existing one. lol. It just makes a loud clicking noise when I put any type of disk in. Thanks again!
For a drive enclosure, would I just go to Best Buy or Fry's and ask for it just like that? and then it plugs into the USB? Do I understand correctly?
