Fun, interesting history topics?

I need a history topic. It can be ANYTHING as long as it's in America. For example, I could do the history of Florida Sea Turtles, Halloween in America, military dogs, fashion, or Disney. Any suggestions?

Native culture (indian or eskimo)
The creation of mount Rushmore (and how it's not finished)
The flaws of idols (what did old presidents do wrong)

If your interest is in Military History, the war of 1812 is a popular choice, its pretty simple flat out war.

If your interested in Cultural History, perhaps the quiet revolution.

If you like American history, I'd suggest the reasons for all the various amendments.
