I have a t-mobile g1 that i bought from a friend and i put in my sim card and now when i text someone, their reply always comes back as another number.... WHY and how do i fix it.... i think its because the wrong number is saved on the sim card but idk how to delete it.

The primary numbers used on the G1 are in the phone's contacts, not the SIM card (unless you have no contacts). That's where the text tool is going to look for the correct numbers. You should do all your contact editing in the Contacts tool. It's a lot easier to do this if you use your GMail account. All additions, changes and deletions you make on Google Mail will automatically reflect on the phone.

You can import contacts from the SIM card to the phone contacts tool. Open the contacts, press the menu key and select Import/Export from the menu. There's an option there to import from the SIM. Once they are imported to your Contacts, you can edit them.
