Gas mileage compare 77 ford f150 to a 79 ford f150?

My question I had a 77 f150 4 speed 2 wheel drive ext cab. It had a straight 6 engine in it. I have now a 79 ford f150 with 4 wheel drive and the 351 modifided what the mpg diffrence. I use both as a daily driver I'm wondering when have a 77-79 ford f150 what Mgs am I getting thanks.

my 79 bronco got 6-9 mpg with factory carb intake and exhaust......that was with 351M...
i now have a holley 600cfm vacuum secondary an edlebrock intake and headers and 2.5pipes out the back with glasspacks for mufflers...i get about 12-15mpg usually but i don't drive it that much.........use it for towing car trailer mostly......and get about 6-8 when towing car on trailer.....


ur 77 wasn't built for great fuel economy either but should get slightly better since its inline 6......
