Gay talk with my dad?

I think I'm ready to come out to my dad, but not sure how. Should I ask this first 'do you think being gay is bad?' also will it give him a hint that I'm a lesbian? Please help!
 
You can ask him that, yes it may give him a hint, I would say ask him how he feels about gay people. Then go of his reaction
