Get out of Verizon Mobile Broadband contract with no fee?

Hi. I entered into a contract with Verizon or mobile broadband about three months ago. My mom actually has her own plan, but together we'd go far over the 5gb per month limit for one, so I had to get another. Now I'm about to start my second year of college and will be living in the dorms with free unlimited internet. My brother was originally going to take over my plan to cover the costs, but now he isn't going to. Any way I can get out of the $175 early termination fee?

^^^That link seems to imply you can, but it's a few months old and doesn't mention mobile broadband?
