Getting a new DSi tomorrow, game suggestions?

I'm deciding between Pokemon white or black and mario kart. Any other game suggestions are open too. :)
Mc bat: My friend has the 3d one and I tried it and hated it. It hurts my eyes so much and I don't want to be able to play for only 5 minutes.
 
If you never played pokemon soul silver or heart gold try that its a really good game
But if you already beat it try black and white
I honestly dont like any other ds games
 
i dont recommend a dsi at all, since the 3ds is backwards compatible it can play the new games and old ds games. so basically if u buy this, within the next year it will be a bigger pile of crap
 
Pokemon and Mario are vastly the most popular games on the DS so i suggest Super Mario Bros for DS and the remakes of Silver and Gold.
 
If you like storylines, go with Hotel Dusk and it's sequel Last Window (which is Europe only, so you'll have to either import it or get a thing like Cyclods, which is what I have). For RPGs, any Dragon Quest game is sure to make anyone happy. For FPS, try Metroid Prime Hunters, CoD Black Ops (which surprisingly has a LOT of multiplayer features, and is played online by a lot of people), or the Dementium series (if you like horror). Platformers are plentiful, so I really shouldn't have to name many since they are obvious (Kirby, Mario, etc.). Of course Pokemon is a good choice if you like that sort of thing. Have White and it's pretty fun (but still your standard pokemon game, so don't expect anything too amazing). For racing I say go with Asphalt, Ridge Racer, or Mario Kart. If you need any more suggestions, let me know. I could fill you in on some more awesome games. Oh yeah, Scribblenauts, get it.
