Okay so its just gotten nice here again so im doing extra riding lately and outside not just in the arena anymore. My gelding is a perfect gentleman out on the trails with other horses and literally spooks at NOTHING. But alot of times im alone or wanting to take a nice quite trail ride alone with just my thoughts and he turns into a nervous, panicky, scared at a mailbox horse. He acts like a totally different horse its just so weird. I have gotten him to ride alone up and down the rows of paddocks of other horse and he does OK but still nervous but when i try anywhere else he just stops in his tracks and breathes very heavy or starts prancing. So I have a game plan for tackling this and i know it will take time and patience but was wondering what everyone else suggestions are?
