Getting x360 divX update w/o internet connection?

I tried to connect my Xbox (arcade, 215 card no hdd, prod. date 2008-03-28) to Live! with Sagem fast 800 modem but it seems impossible without router. I just want to get update AND codecs that will allow me to watch avi/mp4/xvid/mpeg-4. Is there any way for me to do this with pendrive/cd (links please), if not is there any way to connect to Live! with my modem, and no router?

You can do one of two things:

One is to use Internet connection sharing on the PC that has the modem installed to get your Xbox online.

The other option is to download the update from the Xbox website as a CD-ROM image that you then burn to a CD and play in your Xbox.
