Someone is offering me their giant pond snail- they have it in their fishtank but it keeps escaping!
I'd like it to add to my outdoor pond- which is made of concrete and wood and has a few large goldfish. There is nothing to stop it escaping into the garden, do you think it will escape? How long can it live without water- like a land snail? Will it eat all my garden plants? Would it return to the fishpond or die without water? Thanks for any giant pond-snail advice. P.S I don't think it is a self-breeding snail as it's not laid eggs before apparently.
