like if you were walking down the street alone with nothing to do would you rather see a random guy or girl just come up and start talking to you?
 
A guy if he wasn't a creeper. If it was a girl who lived near me or goes to my school then I'd maybe try to be friends but I would rather a guy my age who was either super shy about the fact that he's talking to me or who's flirting and funny.
