Gmail Theme Problem. Help?

I wanted to put a new theme on gmail, but it's all covered because the list of emails in my inbox, sent mail, and all that cover it up.

It's transparent, but barely. You just can't see the theme in the back, so there's really no point of it.

Who knows how to make it more transparent? Or how to do something so that I can see the theme better?
